There are several types of fairs to help you find your perfect fit, each allowing students to interact one-on-one with college admission representatives from a wide range of postsecondary institutions.
One of the most important tools for college selection is this campus visit. Visiting the colleges on your list will give you a firsthand impression of the students, faculty, staff, facilities, and programs. Some colleges view this “demonstrated interest” as a factor in admission. And don’t forget to show up when a college rep from one of your colleges comes to visit your school and respond if they email you for information. When you sit down with a representative, remember to ask questions—the college rep you meet may be a member of the admission committee that reviews your application.
